Is There a New SurrealEstate on SYFY Tonight? (April 17, 2025)

To say that tonight’s new episode of SurrealEstate‘s third season is macabre would be an understatement.

According to the official synopsis for Episode 3 — entitled “Death Does a Refi” — Luke Roman (Tim Rozon) will come face-to-face with the walking embodiment of Death, who requires assistance “with a former client.” You can’t get more on-brand than that! For someone who specializes in supernatural dwellings, meeting Death must be the equivalent of an ordinary citizen getting to spend a day with the president in the Oval Office. But that’s not all! Elsewhere in the episode, Susan Ireland (Sarah Levy) tackles a haunted farmhouse full of recalcitrant spirits on behalf of a local land developer.

The term “Refi” is shorthand in the world of real estate for the practice of “refinancing,” in which an individual swaps one type of mortgage for another. Why is the creeping personification of our own mortality looking for a better interest rate? You’ll just have to watch the episode and find out! Still, it’s good to know that not even Death is exempt from the day-to-day headaches we all deal with on a regular basis.

“Honestly, my favorite character came about in the form of Death itself,” Rozon teased in a recent interview with SYFY WIRE. “I thought, this is just so brilliant. And it’s just great for Luke. I mean, I can talk to dead people, so why not talk to the capitán of the dead anyway.”

SurrealEstate was created — and is currently showrun — by George R. Olson, who serves as executive producer alongside Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Armand Leo, and Danishka Esterhazy.

In addition to Rozon and Levy, the show also stars Tennille Read (Megan Donovan), Maurice Dean Wint (August Ripley), Adam Korson (Father Phil Orley), Savannah Basley (Zooey L’Enfant), and Joy Tanner (Rochelle Decker).
