Season 3 of SurrealEstate is freshly underway on SYFY, catching up with the paranormally-gifted Roman-Ireland real estate agency a few years after the game-changing events that concluded Season 2. Just like before, the gang is still as busy as ever casting restless spirits out of houses that’ve just hit the market — but there’s a creepy new villain waiting deeper in the wings who’s ready to sew some fresh chaos in the wake of last week’s Season 3 premiere.
What’s really driving the creepy schemes of new Season 3 baddie Tyler MacNeil (R Austin Ball), introduced in the season opener as an innocent yuppie whose spirit merges with a long-forgotten (and malevolent) lost soul? We’re not too sure what’s going on quite yet… but it’s clear from what we’ve seen so far that there’s plenty of bad blood between his spectral possessor and Luke Roman (Tim Rozon), the agency’s stalwart, spirit-sensitive leader.
Is SurrealEstate new tonight? (April 10, 2025)
Yes! You can watch “Night Terrors,” the second episode in SurrealEstate’s still-fresh Season 3, by tuning in to SYFY at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 10.
What to expect from “Night Terrors,” SurrealEstate’s new Season 3 episode
Titled “Buckaroo,” SurrealEstate’s Season 3 premiere episode brought viewers up to speed on all the off-screen changes in the lives of Luke (Rozon), Susan Ireland (Sarah Levy), Zooey L’Enfant (Savannah Basley), August Ripley (Maurice Dean Wint), and the rest of the Roman-Ireland gang. Everyone but Luke seems to be reaching new life milestones in the time that’s passed since the end of Season 2… but there’s not much luxury for reflection as the team faces a rootin, tootin, house-haunting standoff with a bygone cowboy who can’t ride off into the sunset without delivering one final message for his family.
Meanwhile, new baddie Tyler — a wealthy carpet mogul who becomes possessed by a mysterious force while on a solo fishing trip — takes an unexpected interest in Luke and his beloved late father Carl (Art Hindle). And judging from his ominous self-musings, it sounds like Tyler (or at least his spirit tormentor) has a deep old score to settle with anyone who claims “Roman” as a last name.
Where it’s all leading is part of the wait-and-see fun as Season 3 of SurrealEstate gets up to full speed, though Rozon himself teased recently to SYFY WIRE that viewers can expect ties of family and friendship to become a running theme. “The kind of group that we had [in Seasons 1 & 2] was a found family, more than just people that come together to do the work that nobody else could do,” said Rozon. “It was really like they found their group. And when you find your group, you can try and go back, but you’ll always come back to the found family, because that’s just where you fit.’
Whatever sketchy threats await, at least there’ll be plenty of comic relief along the way. Zooey’s quirky Gen-Z attitude and some aptly on-brand oddball takes from Lomax (Elena Juatco) peppered the Season 3 premiere with plenty of lighthearted highlights, and — call it a hunch — we’re sure there’ll be tons more silly side diversions that keep things from getting too oppressively dark as the new batch of SurrealEstate episodes arrives.
