2020’s Ghost of Tsushima from developer Sucker Punch is officially getting a sequel. Announced during the September 24 State of Play, Ghost of Yotei is in the works for PS5 and will launch in 2025.
Ghost of Tsushima was one of Sony’s fastest-selling new games ever at launch and has sold more than 8 million copies to date. So the announcement of a sequel was only a matter of time. A Director’s Cut of the game came to PC earlier this year with additional features.
In addition to the Ghost of Tsushima sequel, a movie based on the franchise is in the works from John Wick’s Chad Stahelski. The Ghosts of Tsushima movie is being developed under the PlayStation Productions banner.
