Destiny 2‘s next expansion, The Edge of Fate, has been officially revealed by developer Bungie, and it is launching on July 15. Bungie announced the release date in an ongoing livestream showing off what to expect from the expansion.
Bungie also dropped new cinematic trailer that focuses on the character Orin and her past role as the Queen’s Emissary. This expansion will emphasize the role of The Nine, a secretive group of supernatural beings that are aligned with the celestial bodies in the Solar System.
We also got first looks at some of the new mechanics and powers coming in the expansion. In a gameplay trailer, Bungie showed off some of the weapons, locations, and abilities that players can expect from The Edge of Fate. These include a rocket launcher with a ricochet effect and an emphasis on Darkness abilities.
