Once you’ve confirmed that your gaming PC can meet the Apex Legends system requirements, you can head on over to our best Apex Legends settings guide to get a detailed rundown of how to set your game up for the best performance.

The Apex Legends minimum requirements were low even at the time that Apex Legends was released, meaning they look absolutely ancient in 2025.
You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 or AMD Radeon HD 7790 graphics card alongside an Intel Core i3 6300 or AMD FX 4350 gaming CPU. You’ll also only need 6GB of RAM, which should be more than achievable even for older or budget gaming PCs and laptops.
As for the Apex Legends recommended specs, these don’t take much of a jump up, falling below what would be expected from most modern 3D games at the minimum tier. You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics card, while an Intel Core i5 3570K is the only specific CPU listed, with the AMD alternative being noted only as an “AMD Ryzen 5.”
As for the Apex Legends download size, this currently sits at 75GB but can fluctuate with certain game updates. While having the best SSD isn’t a requirement, we still highly recommend one for the in-game performance boost you’ll get with the modern storage tech.
