Love Hurts, the rip-roaring action-comedy starring Oscar-winners Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), is officially coming to Peacock next month.
Veteran stunt designer Jonathan Eusebio directed the project, which hails from 87North Productions, the banner known for John Wick, Violent Night, Nobody, The Fall Guy, and Bullet Train. Quan fronts the film as Marvin Gable, a mild-mannered Milwaukee real estate hiding a violently criminal past that catches up to him with the sudden arrival of an old associate named Rose (DeBose).

“I knew I wanted to honor 87North’s signature blend of intensity and innovation,” Eusebio said in an official statement around release. “But I also saw an opportunity to explore the emotional complexity of a man forced to confront the life he left behind. The action draws inspiration from the martial arts films I grew up watching, with choreography that evolves alongside Gable’s journey. Each fight sequence is unique, starting with lighter, playful encounters that gradually become more brutal and visceral as Gable’s emotional state transforms. The action reflects his inner conflict.”
