Infinity Nikki isn’t solely about fanciful fashion. That’s because some of the clothes you obtain might have hidden powers, allowing you to perform feats that show off your whim and style. Here’s our guide on how to get all Ability Outfits in Infinity Nikki.

All Ability Outfits in Infinity Nikki

We’ve obtained nine Ability Outfits in Infinity Nikki so far in our playthrough. Generally speaking, these all came from progressing through the campaign. Here’s a quick summary:

  • At certain points, we had to unlock Ability Outfits via the Heart of Infinity menu (“Y” key). These selections cost Whimstars.
  • We then had to use various materials to craft attires via the Sketches menu (“I” key).
  • Once unlocked, we were able to use the powers and actions granted by these gear pieces.
  • Ability Outfits also have their own attributes and stats. These clothes can be upgraded further, especially if you want to use them in Styling Contests.

Equipping Ability Outfits and variants

By default, the Infinity Nikki Ability Outfits will be bound to specific keys. They also appear in order via the selection wheel, which you can access by holding the tab key.

If you’d like, you can change the keybinds by opening the Wardrobe menu (“C” key), and then going to the Ability Setup tab. This panel lets you select from the powers/actions that you’ve unlocked, as well as the outfit type or variant that grants these skills.

Floating: Bubbly Voyage

The first Infinity Nikki Ability Outfit that you acquire is called Bubbly Voyage. It’s unlocked just a few minutes after starting the campaign. With it, you’ll be able to float across gaps and chasms. Nikki will automatically switch to this outfit whenever you have to float in mid-air.

Purification: Wind of Purity

Purification basically means “shooting enemies.” Once you get this outfit early in the campaign, you’ll be able to fire projectiles to take out Esseling enemies. Similar to Bubbly Voyage, Nikki automatically swaps to this attire when you attack foes.

Likewise, note that the game doesn’t have a traditional targeting system akin to a crosshair. Instead, you have to pan the camera around or hold the left mouse button until a particular enemy is highlighted. That’s when you know that the projectile will hit them.

Animal Grooming: Bye-Bye Dust

Obtained upon reaching the town of Florawish, Bye-Bye Dust is actually the first Ability Outfit that lets you interact with animals and creatures. Most animals will try to run away if you scare them, so you have to hold the right mouse button to approach them in a non-threatening manner. If you can groom and pet them, you’ll receive fur-type materials as rewards.

Bug Catching: Afternoon Shine

Afternoon Shine is acquired just after you get Bye-Bye Dust in Florawish. The mechanic is also quite similar, since you need to press or hold the right mouse button when approaching insects. If you see your net glow, that means you can catch the critter before it scurries away.

Fishing: Rippling Serenity

You can unlock fishing mechanics once you’ve made it to Florawish, too. The process tends to be more involved compared to others:

  • You must locate a fishing spot in bodies of water, then cast your lure until you get a nibble.
  • Press the “A” or “D” key in the opposite direction from where the fish is swimming to, then rapidly tap the right mouse button to reel in your catch.
  • Fish, unlike other resources, don’t have countable values in your inventory. Instead, the amount that you have in your inventory is dependent on the total weight of your catch.

Electrician: Fully Charged

The Fully Charged Ability Outfit in Infinity Nikki needs to be crafted as part of the main quest. That’s because it allows you to interact with panels in the Well of Fortune, the first dungeon in the game. With it, you can turn on the lights to proceed deeper into the facility.

Floral Gliding: Floral Memory

Floral Memory is unlocked upon reaching the region of Stoneville. Specifically, this is the part where you have to head to the Abandoned District region. The Abandoned District consists of numerous floating islands separated by deep seas and deadly tornadoes. However, with the Floral Memory attire, you can hold the right mouse button to glide through green rings and spirals, giving you a boost until you reach solid ground.

Note that Floral Memory is significantly better than Bubbly Voyage–the former lets you glide for longer distances, whereas the latter will cause you to slowly drop back down to the ground. The only issue is that Floral Memory can only be used in Stoneville and the Abandoned District, whereas Bubbly Voyage can be activated anywhere whenever you float around.

Violinist: Symphony of Strings

This particular Ability Outfit in Infinity Nikki, which is unlocked in the Abandoned District, actually presents you with a minigame. The goal is to press the correct keys based on the music sheet. Here’s a quick summary:

  • A music sheet has two rows of notes: G clef in blue and C clef in orange.
  • You have to press the keys that correspond to each note.
  • One example is: So (G), Mi (C), Re (C), Do (C), Ti (G), So (G).
  • The corresponding keys are: G, E, W, Q, J, G.

Shrinking: Starlet Burst

What makes this Ability Outfit quite unique is that it actually causes Nikki to shrink to a hilariously small size. In effect, this allows you to control her cat companion, Momo, instead. Momo is able to squeeze through tiny openings, making this skill integral as you explore the Wishing Woods region.
